Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Glance. The short version: we protect your inbox, never read your email bodies, respect your privacy, and you agree to use the platform legally and responsibly. The full legal text is below.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Glance ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. Glance is operated by Glance Security, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our").
2. Description of Service
Glance provides email security and inbox management services, including threat detection, phishing protection, and a Circle of Trust system for managing email approval workflows. The Service connects to your email provider (Google, Microsoft, Yahoo) via OAuth and processes email metadata to detect threats. We do not store email body content.
3. Privacy and Zero-Persistence
Glance is built on a zero-persistence architecture. Email body content is never stored on our servers. We process email metadata (sender, subject, headers, and threat signals) using short-lived Redis cache entries with automatic expiration. 4. Account Registration
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
5. Circle of Trust and Companions
By adding a Companion to your Circle of Trust, you grant that person the ability to approve or reject emails on your behalf. Companions can see the sender name, email address, and subject line of pending emails — never the email body. You are responsible for the Companions you add and for removing them when appropriate.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use the Service to harass, stalk, or harm others; (b) attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or access non-public parts of the Service; (c) use automated means to access the Service beyond normal use; (d) use the Service in violation of applicable law; (e) resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission.
7. Subscription and Billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as stated in our refund policy. We may change prices with 30 days' notice. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Free plan users are not charged.
8. Data and Email Access
By connecting your email account, you authorize Glance to read email metadata (headers, sender, subject) to perform threat detection. We use the minimum OAuth scopes required (gmail.readonly or equivalent). You can revoke this access at any time through your Google/Microsoft/Yahoo account settings or through Glance's Settings > Accounts page.
9. Limitation of Liability
Glance is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that every threat will be detected or that every safe email will be delivered. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glance shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including losses from undetected phishing or missed emails.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through Settings > Account > Danger Zone. Upon termination, your data is deleted within 30 days, except for anonymized threat intelligence data which may be retained for platform security.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. The current version is always available at glance-co.com/terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except you may bring claims in small claims court.
