Feature deep-dive
Circle of Trust.
Nobody else puts a human in the loop before the inbox. Every other email security product sorts mail after it arrives. Glance stops it before the protected person ever sees it — because a trusted person in their life said yes first.

Every other product
Mail arrives. Then you deal with it.
Gmail, Outlook, Aura, LifeLock — all sort or flag mail after it reaches the inbox. The scam is already there. Your parent already saw it. The damage is already possible.
Glance
Mail waits. A trusted person decides.
Unknown senders queue for gatekeeper review. The protected inbox stays quiet until someone in the Circle of Trust says the sender is safe.
How it works.
- 01
The protected person connects their inbox
Your parent links their Gmail or Outlook to Glance. Setup takes under 2 minutes. They keep their existing email address — nothing changes on their end.
- 02
You join their Circle of Trust
You receive an invite by email or SMS. Accepting makes you a gatekeeper — you can approve or block unknown senders on their behalf. Up to 8 gatekeepers per protected inbox.
- 03
An unknown sender writes to your parent
Glance runs a 4-tier check in milliseconds: allowlist, heuristics, reputation, and (for grey-area cases) local ML. If the sender is new or suspicious, they wait.
- 04
Companions get a notification
You get a push notification or email: who sent it, from where, what the detection score was, and which signals fired. No email content — we never read it.
- 05
One tap: allow or block
If you allow, the email is delivered immediately. If you block, it is removed from the queue and the sender is added to their blocklist. Your parent never sees the threat.
- 06
Patterns improve over time
Each approval or block trains the allowlist and reputation tier for their inbox. Over weeks, fewer requests need manual review — the system learns their world.
Questions.
- Does my parent know every time I approve an email?
- No. They see their inbox as normal — minus threats. They are not notified for routine gatekeeper decisions. You can choose to tell them, but you are not required to.
- What if I miss a notification?
- The email stays in the queue. If a second gatekeeper is in the Circle, they can also act. Emails are never automatically delivered if a gatekeeper does not respond — silence defaults to hold.
- Can my parent override a gatekeeper decision?
- Yes. Protected users can add senders to their own allowlist at any time. Glance protects, it does not control.
- How many people can be in the Circle of Trust?
- Up to 8 gatekeepers on Pro and Family plans. Essential plan supports 2.
- What does Glance see about the email?
- Headers, sender metadata, authentication signals (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), domain age, and reputation. Never the subject line or body content.
